On our first day in Thailand, we went to the enormous Chatuchak weekend market. It is 35 acres of more than 8,000 market stalls where they sell everything imaginable, including little food stands. Below are some pictures from the market.
On our second night out, we decided to go out to Khaosan, the backpacker area of Bangkok. Everyone there was a foreigner, and the majority of them had a 'hippy' look to them. We saw a live band there where they sang 'I'm a Bitch' by Meredith Brooks and 'What if God Was One of Us'. We tried to request No Doubt's 'Spiderwebs', but after giving them 50 baht, they never sang it. I'm guessing it's because they had never heard of the song. But we weren't given our money back!
Below is a bar where we decided to have a drink. Just too funny to pass up!
Yummy!
Below is a picture of a foreigner who was getting a fish pedicure. The guy working there let me stick my hand in to see what it felt like, and it definitely gave me the heebie jeebies!
